A. The daily compensation payable to members of the board of directors for services rendered shall be increased in an amount equal to five percent of the daily compensation currently in effect rounded to the next lowest dollar.

B. The daily compensation payable to members of the board of directors shall be automatically increased upon the anniversary date of the effective date of this Ordinance No. 1286 in an amount equal to the inflation for the preceding fiscal year as indicated by the Consumer Price Index for Los Angeles-Riverside-Orange Counties, not to exceed five percent rounded to the next lowest dollar.

C. Except as otherwise specifically mentioned in this chapter, the district’s current policy in regard to the fixing of compensation, expenses of directors and per diems of directors shall remain in full force and effect.

D. In addition to said compensation, each director shall receive reimbursement for any actual and necessary expenses incurred by said director in rendering services and/or in attending meetings of the board of directors.

E. In any calendar month, no director shall receive compensation for more than a total of 10 days. (Ord. 1286 §§ 1 – 3, 2001; Ord. 1212 § 1, 1990; Ord. 1196 §§ 1 – 4, 1988)
